Our Tummy Tuck is usually performed in our fully accredited, state of the art, surgical facility in Charlotte. This procedure is performed under general anesthesia which allows you to be comfortable and safe throughout the surgical experience.
After surgery, the patient is fitted with a compression garment. This helps to ensure the tummy tuck scar will heal properly as the incision must remain tension and pressure-free during the early weeks of healing. Patients generally require 10 days off of work after surgery. Walking is permitted and encouraged the day after surgery, but strenuous activity and heavy lifting are limited for six weeks. Swelling will be present initially following surgery and subsides during healing. The final results are typically seen 3 months after surgery.
